I've been fighting a sinus thing all week, but the homeopathic stuff I tried taking doesn't really work and gives me freaky dreams. Last night, for example, I dreamt that my friend Pete sent me an avocado plant from Hawaii but the avacados were big and shaped like gourds (which I did not believe existed until I saw this chart!), and one grew a hoof that fell off. I've also had a bizarre, unprecedented craving for sweet tea and I'm downing gallons of the stuff. Today I gave in and went to try to obtain Sudafed at Target. It's probably easier to acquire weapons-grade plutonium than it is to buy psuedoephedrine these days. What these folks don't get is that it's inadvisable to hassle people with raging sinus headaches. I'm very cranky.

We parted ways with our most annoying and insane client this week, which is good in many ways (cuts down on Tylenol intake), but it also means reduced revenue and more freaked out behavior on my boss' part. It looks like we have plenty to do for our other clients, however, since this week they also announced the format of the revamped E3 which will now take place in July and will be invitation-only à la Toy Fair. Since my current plans do not include being anywhere near the videogame industry in July, I took the opportunity to give my 7 months' notice to poor Mike, who was already so rattled it didn't seem to upset him as much as it might have otherwise. Or maybe he just let it go in one ear and out the other as he often does. We'll see.

Current reading: The Adept series by Katherine Kurtz and Deborah Turner Harris. I finally located my mislaid copy of The Name of the Rose so I can finish that eventually, too.
